Howdy!

I am Pascale and will be living in London for a while. You can read all about my brain-dead tourist situations, embarrassing cultural mistakes and see all the pictures and videos I make. I will also post some proper blogs about the work I do to please my parents and teachers. I'd appreciate it if you left a comment. Use the links underneath the top picture to navigate.

Peculiar Pioneer Presenter Pascale

Saturday 12 March 2011 17:09

I know this is probably pretty desperate... but that's sort of how I'm feeling about this now anyway, so why not also get the innocent souls that read my blog involved? It might be that you have caught this on hyves, youtube, twitter or on my facebook already, but if you haven't you should definitely keep on reading!

I have entered myself into a competition where I can win the following;

- Go backstage at Wembley Arena where my favourite band will be performing
- Not just go backstage for a little bit - go there all day
- Be a backstage presenter which will be broadcasted LIVE onto the internet
- Meet my favourite band and interview them whilst millions of girls cry behind their computers because I won instead of them

Pretty sick right? Yea, I thought so too. In order to win this, I had to make a video and show people why I should be a backstage presenter. Now, I thought of a hundred different reasons... but instead, I shot a video of myself eating cereal with coke. That's right. I had forgotten to get milk, so I decided to go with coke instead (and it's actually surprisingly good).

So what you have to do is click here or click on the youtube video which isn't really the video but just a picture of it, and you'll be taken to website where you can vote for me. Underneath my video you'll see a facebook LIKE button. Click that and you're all set. Thanks if you've already voted, but I'm about 1800+ votes behind on the boardleader, so I need to get cracking! Please tell all of your friends to vote too (I'm serious, start a facebook campaign, all your friends will hate you for spamming them to death but I will forever love you).

Influenza

Wednesday 9 March 2011 13:53

It's official... my cold has gotten worse (which I didn't think was even possible) and it's transformed into influenza.

Influenza; commonly referred to as the flu, is an infectious disease caused by RNA viruses of the family Orthomyxoviridae (the influenza viruses). The most common symptoms of the disease are chills, fever, sore throat, muscle pains, severe headache, coughing, weakness/fatigue and general discomfort. Typically, influenza is transmitted through the air by coughs or sneezes, creating aerosols containing the virus.

It's horrible. I have let the school know that I hope to be back at the end of the week, but if things don't get better they probably won't see me until next week. Today I received an e-mail from Helen that her husband is also stay-at-home ill and that it's probably the same bug. She also asked if there's anything she can do for me (I wouldn't know what, she can hardly come and bring me soup, I'm at the other side of London!) since it's miserable to be ill and away from home. She's right, I'm so bored! I'm trying to think of things to do; so far I have painted my nails two times, cleaned my room, eaten all easter eggs my mum gave me and watched two bad comedies. Any tips? Leave them in my chatbox at the top of the page!

I think I might see if I can plan some trips for those three weeks off in April!

This is a picture blog; these are only a couple of my pictures, taken with my phone. Celesta and Caroline have taken much more with their cameras, and I'll put the entire collection up on my facebook!

Two children, sabotaging my room...

Big Ben looking lovely in the freezing cold.

That man was really good actually... but we made fun of him anyway.

Ceiling mirrors in the cinema - we went to see Just Go With It

Intimate moment in Camden Town

Having a giggle in a random vintage shop

Fake Asian

Monday 7 March 2011 15:03

So with Celesta and Caroline here, it's obviously the best time ever to get a cold... come on immune system, are you being serious?! My eyes are watering all the time, they look puffy and blotchy. My nose will not stop running and yesterday I think I set the world record for most sneezes in a row. Oh my God, this is pure agony. Today I called in sick... but I bet they think it's because I'm hungover or whatever.

At the moment, Caroline and Celesta are over in Notting Hill. They left me to take a hot bath and I think it did help a little... but I still feel like crap. Thank God today the sun's out so I can wear my shades everywhere and don't have to wear make-up. They're gonna let me know when they're on their way over to Camden Town so I can go and join them.

Over the past few days we've been partying, shopping and did a couple of touristy things. We went to the London Eye (and actually went in this time) and to China Town for dinner. Friday night after clubbing we found the most amazing hotdog stand in Shoreditch - Oh My God. Most amazing hotdogs ever! We also went to see 'Just Go With It' yesterday at Odeon, Leicester Square and we all definitely recommend everyone to go and see it; it's hilarious!! Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston and Nick Swardson - most amazing combination of actors ever!

We're all taking pictures of EVERYTHING so I'll do a picture blog later when we've collected all photos onto my laptop. Also, I really like reading all your messages, so leave one in the chatbox at the top of my page if you've read this! :)
