Howdy!

I am Pascale and will be living in London for a while. You can read all about my brain-dead tourist situations, embarrassing cultural mistakes and see all the pictures and videos I make. McFly outside Radio One today!

Don't mind the title. Caroline and I are having some fun with some Juicee Gummee winegums... they come in about EVERY shape. It's amazing.

Anyway! Today was fun! School was full with compliments for me. I had already mentioned this on twitter and facebook, but Vanessa Feltz's (google if you don't know this TV and Radio personality) daughter is doing a two week placement at St Christina's. She's my age, and she's got a very Dutch name... and I didn't know who Vanessa Feltz was at first, so I had no idea. But I soon enough found out that we're not each other's kind of people. Mainly because she keeps mentioning her mum in about every conversation, and it's getting quite annoying.

Tomalom!

But all in all today was pretty amazing. Helen decided to leave all work with children to me so she could do paperwork all day. In the end she only just managed to get started on the heap load of paper work she has to do because she kept thinking of more fun things to do. So she's kind of like me. At the end of the day Helen panicked because for a minute she thought that next week would be my last week - it's not! I've still got quite some time to go here! Then she casually told me that I'm the first foreign student in the school that she completely trusts. Not only because I'm amazing, obviously, but because I'm the only foreign student that doesn't sound like she's foreign. Wheyyy!! Good times!

Harry - he looks like he's posing, but he's not.

After school I went to Radio One (again) to go and stalk McFly. Vanessa Hudgens was there too... you know, that girl from High School Musical. There was loads of paparazzi and a ton of fans outside, but once Vanessa had gone, so had half the fans. So, when McFly came out for pictures it was fairly doable to get your picture taken with them. I took some pictures for some other fans who had never had their pictures taken with the band and made some girls happy!

Tomorrow I'm seeing them in Wembley - which is also the reason why Caroline's here now! Excited!

You're under arrest

Wednesday 30 March 2011 18:11

Picture this;

I'm on my way home from work. On the tube, central line, in one of those middle sections, glaring at everyone whose got a seat. I'm jealous and I'm keeping an eye on everyone so I can dash towards the first person that stands up. At the other middle section, I see one guy with floppy Justin Bieber hair do the same thing. I feel a bit of a competition starting - whose gonna grab the first seat that comes available? Me or him? There's a middle aged man standing next to me. He smells like he needs a shower and he's got a massive scar on his face, from the corner of his mouth all the way up to his eye. I don't know if he's also waiting for a seat, but we're holding onto the same bar that's keeping us in balance as the tube moves in shocks from left to right.

Yea, so... I'm just standing there, paying attention to the Justin Bieber opposite of me because I want to get a seat before he does. How annoying that he keeps looking at everyone, bending backwards to look past me (to see if there's any empty seats at the other side of the carriage?). He hasn't even got any heavy bags - I definitely deserve a seat more than he does. Then the tube stops at Tottenham Court Road...

The tube stops at Tottenham Court road. Three people get up from their seats and I see him fly forward. All three people are getting off the tube at my side of the carriage, so of course I have to wait until all of them have passed me before I can go and have a seat. Instead of Justin Bieber sitting down, he pushes himself towards me and just as I think he needs to get off the tube in a hurry (why would he go past all the seats if he could just go off at the other end?) he screams; YOU ARE UNDER ARREST!

Not at me, of course. Apart from sticking my chewing gum underneath tube seats, I'm not much of a criminal. No, scarface next to me is the one who is getting arrested by a guy with floppy Bieber hair, about my age, in normal clothes. There's two girls who grab his arms; also both girls are my age and look like they just got out of work and are on their way home. Undercover police officers. I'm in shock; as is everyone else in the carriage as the two girls hold the mans arms behind his back. The guy who I thought was eyeing up my seat grabs a pair of handcuffs from his back pocket and they all drag him out of the train whilst telling him to relax and to obey. Before I can even hear what he is arrested for, the tube doors close.

I'm not stupid - I checked my bag to see if I still had all my stuff. And I do! Nothing's gone missing. So he probably wasn't arrested for robbing people on the tube, which definitely is a good thing, seeing as I'd been standing next to him for quite some time. But I still want to know what he was arrested for... maybe I'll find out more tomorrow. If I find out, I'll definitely post it up here, so keep checking back!

Some pics of Wednesday

Sunday 27 March 2011 16:46

Yesterday I went to Brixton to see Suzanne. We sorted out the pictures (I've got all of them now, minus a couple) and went for drinks afterwards! I'd never been to Brixton before but from what I've seen it's not too bad!

With Suzanne and Elene - obviously the most charming picture ever

Today I went for lunch with Maddie. I read somewhere that you could go and have lunch up at the top of the Gherkin. We went there, went inside and got kicked out. The lunch room wasn't open, but we got told that it also wasn't open to the public. We actually have to know someone who works at the Gherkin to get in. So instead we got a pub lunch which was yummy! The upcoming week will be boring right up until Thursday evening when Caroline's coming over! She's only staying two nights, but it will definitely be awesome!
