Riding on a pig, baby monkeyMonday 9 May 2011 20:22 Mayfair Hotel The weekend was fun! Friday I had dinner with Mads and the most AMAZING cocktails at the Mayfair hotel bar- we agreed they were the best mojitos and cosmopolitans we had ever tasted. Ever. Well, they kind of had to be anyways, for 11 pounds a drink...  Loving it!  I had lots of salmon dishes! So Saturday morning, I went to Victoria Coach Station, but I was running late and it was pouring down with rain... and I know it's only a 5 minute walk from Victoria Station to the coach station, but seeing the circumstances I hailed a taxi. Twenty seconds later I'm at the coach station and the taxi driver is nice enough not to let me pay; "This one's on me, keep your £1,20." Score! Birmingham was fun! We went for sushi (oh my God I had never had sushi before but I seriously loved it!) and had drinks at a jazz club where we casually met Eddy Murphy. True story.  Swinging with Joly  Saskia, Joly and Nadda watching back their made video footage Sunday was spent in the sunshine at the Botanical Gardens. It was a gorgeous day, but after a while we did get a bit bored of walking around in this jungle, so we took it to the playground, the children discovery place and the garden of this little cottage where we laid out for about an hour. We had a cheeky casual photoshoot (with old people randomly walking past) and before we left got ourselves some ice cream. Absolutely lovely! At 17:20 I was in a coach back to London and upon arrival I was so tired and just generally lazy that I took a taxi home. It drove me past Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and right through China Town; I got the touristy route! Loved it! |
